Mist-ed Coffee Morning (poem)

a memory trapped in a coffee shop

its mist-ed rained window panes

sheltering us from the air

letting us hide

for a moment longer

in the steam cloud of secrets

pretending it wasn’t about to end

I Still Know You (free verse poem)

I still know you

despite the pain,

despite the memories

and the past.

I still trust you

after all your lies

your deceit,

and your danger.

I still talk to you

after all this time:

all the secrets

and all the confusion.

But I don’t love you

like I thought I used to.

You’re just a face

in the sea of my life.
