Tea | poetry

I could probably write a whole book about tea, and maybe one day I will. It features in every single book I’ve ever written and despite the thousands of cups that have gone cold in my time – the next cuppa is never far from my mind.

I Still Know You (free verse poem)

I still know you

despite the pain,

despite the memories

and the past.

I still trust you

after all your lies

your deceit,

and your danger.

I still talk to you

after all this time:

all the secrets

and all the confusion.

But I don’t love you

like I thought I used to.

You’re just a face

in the sea of my life.
