Post-Memory [a poem by Melissa Holden]

That sinking feeling

when my notification¬†isn’t you.

That skipping beat

when I remember the truth.

That blurred memory:

us between the sheets at night.

That echoed voice

telling me everything’s alright.

That amazing moment

when we spoke all night long.

That strange euphoria

just before it all went wrong.

[This poem was written whilst I listened to: Weezer – Da Vinci]
