Daily Prompt: Don’t You Forget About Me

“Imagine yourself at the end of your life. What sort of legacy will you leave? Describe the lasting effect you want to have on the world, after you’re gone.”

When I leave this world, I hope: I will never die.

My words will be permanently etched into the world, as my stories, my books. My books are my legacy.  I hope one day, my words will give someone the escape they need, if only for a few hours, so that they might have a chance in this dying world of ours.

I hope I have left behind a loving family, and children. I want to leave behind a world without pollution, and with hope.

I want to leave behind a son, who wants to walk among the stars some day. I want to leave behind a little girl, who is proud of herself, and aims high. I want to leave behind a husband, who will always remember me.

We all leave a mark on the world. Mine will be my words, my ashes, and my love.
